Scholarship
- 01The Soraya Foundation Scholarship is open to current or former NCAA Division I student-athletes who are in the final year of their bachelor’s degree or have recently graduated and are pursuing graduate or professional education. Applicants must also meet the current GPA, enrollment, and application requirements.
- 02No. Applicants may apply before being officially accepted or enrolled, but selected recipients must provide proof of enrollment by the required deadline.
- 03Eligible programs may include master’s degrees, PhD programs, medical school, law school, MBA programs, and other qualifying advanced-study programs. Other programs may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- 04Yes. Eligible applicants may include U.S. citizens, permanent residents, international students, DACA recipients, and undocumented students.
- 05Applicants should be prepared to provide recent income documentation, an academic transcript, personal statement, two letters of recommendation, a resume, and basic personal and school information. Finalists may also be invited to participate in an interview
- 06Yes. Financial need is one factor considered during the selection process, along with the applicant’s overall qualifications and alignment with the Foundation’s mission.
- 07Recipients receive scholarship funding along with mentorship, 12 monthly coaching sessions during their first year post-athletics, and financial literacy and planning support.
- 08Scholarship funds are paid directly to the recipient’s university or qualifying program so they can be applied toward educational expenses.
- 09Currently, the Soraya Foundation Scholarship is a one-time, non-renewable award.
- 10The 2026 scholarship cycle is closed, and the Foundation currently expects applications to reopen in early 2027. Updated dates and requirements will be posted when available.
