Important Dates

APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2026 SCHOLARSHIP CYCLE ARE NOW CLOSED. 

The Soraya Foundation Scholarship is expected to reopen early 2027. Please check back for updated application dates, eligibility requirements, and program details. 

Eligibility

  • Must be a current or former athlete at a Division-I NCAA-accredited institution.

  • Educational Background​

    • Applicants must be in their final year of a bachelor's degree program or have earned a bachelor's degree within the past two years.

    • Must be enrolled in or have applied to a part-time or full-time graduate or professional program, including master’s, PhD, law school, medical school, MBA, or other advanced study programs.

  • Sport participation

    • All NCAA Division I sports are eligible for The Soraya Foundation Scholarship.

    • Any number of years competing at the Division I level qualifies.

  • Enrollment / Application Timing​

    • Applicants must meet all application deadlines, as submissions are reviewed on a strict timeline.

    • Late submissions may be considered only in exceptional circumstances, which should be clearly explained in the application.

    • To be selected as scholarship recipient, applicant must be enrolled in post-graduate program by April 20, 2026.

  • GPA​

    • Must have a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

  • Citizenship / Residency

    • Open to U.S. citizens, permanent residents, international students, and undocumented individuals.

   •    Transcript
   •    Personal statement
   •    Two recommendation letters
   •    Resume
